Back when "sinkers and suds" brought you doughnuts and coffee, shiny, stainless
steel streamlined trains were all the rage. The modern look was in; everything
from toasters to vacuum cleaners received sleek lines and shiny surfaces. Gleaming
restaurants like Miss Bettie's sprang up from coast to coast.
Miss Bettie's Diner brings the glitz of the streamline era to the streets of your
pike. It's a natural addition along Main Street or along the highway on the edge
of town. Like the prototypes, this detailed, easy-to-build kit (the prototypes
were kits too!) includes streamlined fluted sides, large windows and interior
tables, stools, counter and a small outdoor refrigerator shed, plus colorful signs.
