If your road runs diesels, then you need this model! Based on prototypes used beginning in the 1940s, these facilities are found anywhere locomotives are serviced. In the early days, they were placed on the servicing leads near roundhouses; in modern times, they’ve also been added along the mainline at major crew change/train inspection points.

The new Diesel Fueling Facility will add authenticity to your post-1940s model railroad. It includes all the structures you need to complete your two-track fueling scene including a fuel storage tank, fuel crane, water crane, pump house and top unloading rack (for unloading diesel fuel from tank cars). It also includes environmental track "pans" to catch spilled fuel and oil. For pre-1980s scenes, simply leave them off.
