| 1. Begin with a base: choose either 2" insulating foam or plywood purchased from a home improvement store. Be sure to measure your track layout so you know how large your base needs to be. Cover the base with grass mat. | ![]() |

| 4. Get creative: All you need is imagination, glue and disposable paint brushes! Make a sketch showing where roads, buildings and other details should go, then draw the final plan on the layout base. To apply scenery materials, brush a little white glue on the base, sprinkle on ground cover and allow to dry. | ![]() |
