K Arnold Gmbh & Co. was founded in 1906 by Karl Arnold when he began producing tin toys at his factory in Nuremberg, Germany. Destroyed during World War II, the factory was rebuilt in Muhlhausen, just outside Nuremberg, in 1945. It was in 1960 that Arnold started producing the N scale Equipment that has made them famous. They recently merged with Rivarossi, and feature a product line of American and European locomotives, structures, passenger and freight cars, and train sets.
