Chris Jessee founded Kingmill Enterprise in 2003. The Charlottesville, Virginia company designs and fabricates laser-cut wood and paper structure kits in scales from Z to G. Their kits focus on the rural southeastern United States from the 1900s to the 1960s. Colorful detailed signs and printed-paper building materials add an authentic and realistic look to their kits. Kingmill also produces Kit-O-Mat, a software program that allows modelers to design their own kits. Once satisfied with a design done with the program, the modeler can email the file and the company will laser cut the parts from a broad selection of material and ship them to the modeler for assembly.
