New, Walthers Built-up Track Bumpers are Important Additions to any N Scale Spur
Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- Walthers announces the release of its new Cornerstone
Series(R) Built-up N Scale Track Bumpers. These pre-assembled N Scale
accessories will be available in November 2002.
The new Built-up N Scale Track Bumpers are based on typical bumpers used by
virtually all railroads. Found at the ends of sidings and spurs throughout
the continent, these heavy steel appliances keep cars from rolling past the
end of the rails. The Cornerstone Series models are based on bumpers
fabricated from structural steel.
The pre-assembled Bumpers feature locating pins which fit between the ties
of most brands of track, allowing them to be anchored between the rails like
the prototypes. The one-piece models come molded in appropriate colors, so
they are quick and easy additions to any post-1920s, end-of-track scene.
Each package sells for $13.95 and includes five one-piece bumpers.
New N Scale Track Bumpers are part of the Cornerstone Series Built-up line
of realistic, layout-ready N Scale models. Based on typical railroad
structures and appliances, they appeal to modelers of all skill levels.
Beginners appreciate being able to add realistic buildings and accessories
to their layout with no assembly and painting. Advanced modelers, who may
not have time for small projects, find them great for filling out their
lineside scenes. Other Cornerstone Series Built-ups in N Scale include
Trackside Structures Sets and the upcoming Steel Water Tank.
