Milwaukee, Wis. - Walthers announces a new release of its HO Scale Gold Line™ Difco® Dump Car. This unique, ready-to-run car will be available in September 2007.

These distinctive cars are the railroad equivalent of a dump truck. Designed to carry up to 100 tons, they are fitted with large pneumatic cylinders and side doors, and can dump to the left or right of the tracks. While used primarily in work train service for dumping ballast, fill and rip rap, railroads use them in revenue service too. Most often, they're used to move sand, gravel, cinders, coal, limestone and other loose bulk materials, making them suitable for mining, quarry and generating station scenes.

This Gold Line, ready-to-run HO Scale model comes fully assembled and features working knuckle couplers, free-rolling trucks with RP-25 metal wheelsets, a complete set of add-on wire grab irons and molded drill starter points on the body to simplify installation. Cars are available individually and in limited-run three-packs for a total of four roadnumbers per roadname; an undecorated version will also be available.
