Milwaukee, Wis. - Walthers announces the release of the all-new HO Scale Cornerstone Series® Train Shed kit. A perfect complement to Walthers Twin Cities Hiawatha, the model is the first in a series of all-new structures based on Milwaukee prototypes produced especially for Walthers 75th anniversary. Item #933-2949 is priced at $99.98 and will be arriving in December 2007.

Based on the Milwaukee Road's train shed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the kit is typical of similar buildings used in many locations including Minneapolis, Minn., Terre Haute, Ind., (on the PRR), Grand Rapids, Mich., (Union Station) and others.

The model features latticework truss supports, corrugated-metal roofing and a clerestory top. Four tracks fit directly beneath the shed; tracks along the outside edges are partially covered, just as they were on the prototype. The kit includes two sections; when placed together, the finished model measures 22-3/8 x 11-9/16 x 6-1/4" 56.8 x 29.3 x 15.8cm. Additional kits can be combined to build a longer shed if desired.
