Milwaukee, Wis. - Walthers announces its all-new Gold Line™ Thrall 53' Gondolas. These newly-tooled, ready-to-run freight cars will be available in April 2007. Single cars will retail for $19.98 each and two packs at $37.98.

Introduced in the 1970s, Thrall 53' Gondolas are ideal for all kinds of shipments. They're most commonly used for hauling scrap and steel products, but they also handle pulpwood, machinery, aggregates, track materials and any other load that requires an open-top car. Many of these cars are still in use, so the new Walthers models will be right at home on any layout set in the 70s to the present.

Walthers Gold Line Thrall 53' Gondolas are ready-to-run replicas of cars used across the continent. Each includes a complete set of add-on wiregrab irons; molded drill starter points on the body simplify installation. Magnetic knuckle couplers and free-rolling trucks with RP-25 metal wheelsets round out each car. Decorated cars are available individually and in limited-run two-packs for a total of three roadnumbers per roadname. Thrall 53' Gondolas are decorated in the following roadnames:
