Walthers announces three new detail kits in the HO Scale Ashland Steel series: the Reversing Mill Stand, the Larry & Quench Car Kits and the Blast Furnace Stairways & Railings.

Features: These complete kits make it easy to add higher levels of detail to Walthers earlier steel works kits (no longer in production) and can be adapted to other projects as well.

Perfect for expanding operation inside a rolling mill, the Reversing Mill Stand is complete with a multi-pass roller stand, motor, rolling table and walkway details. This simplifies adding interior detail to the earlier mill, or expanding operations inside the new Rolling Mill #933-2971 (sold separately).

An important part of the operations at prototype coke ovens, the larry rides atop the battery and delivers coal to the ovens, while the Quench Car transports red-hot coke from the ovens to quencher. The Larry and Quench Cars kit makes it easy to upgrade the earlier coke ovens with detailed replicas of these cars.

With changes in safety regulations, many older facilities have been updated with newer styles of walkways and railings to protect employees. The Blast Furnace Stairways & Railings kit makes it easy to upgrade Walthers earlier furnace kits, and is easily adapted to a wide range of modern buildings.
