Walthers announces the addition of streamlined Pullman-Standard 10-6 Sleepers in new paint schemes to its line of ready-to-run HO Scale passenger cars. This new selection represents several schemes the cars wore in later years as a result of car pooling agreements and railroad mergers.

Fast Facts: When lightweight cars came to the Pullman fleet in the early 1940s, their smooth sides lent themselves to classy, colorful paint schemes. Corrugated stainless-steel sides, later added to match the look of Budd's stainless-steel designs, created a variety of cars that ran on premier passenger trains.

Features: Based on Plan #4140, Walthers Pullman-Standard 10-6 Sleepers feature prototype-specific body styles with corrugated or smooth sides with or without skirting as appropriate for each roadname. The cars ride on GSC 41-N trucks with die cast sideframes and blackened-metal wheelsets. Other features include flush-fitting windows, full interiors, working diaphragms, magnetic knuckle couplers and car number and name decals. Car bodies have molded-in drill starter points for easy installation of the supplied wire grab irons. The cars also feature built-in electrical contacts and provisions for easy installation of Walthers Interior Lighting Kits (#933-1049 DC Version or #933-1084 DCC Version, both sold separately).
