Walthers is pleased to announce a third group of roadnames for its HO Scale EMD F7 diesels. These superbly detailed models are offered in matching A-B sets and single A units, available in DCC and Sound or Standard DC versions.
Fast Facts: From 1949 on, the F7 was a fixture on railroads large and small. Equally at home in freight or passenger service, EMD built over 2200 A and 1400 B units, which were delivered in a rainbow of schemes. Tough and durable, many soldiered on into the early 70s and several have been preserved.
Features: PROTO 2000 EMD F7s have set new standards for performance and realism, with roadname and roadnumber specific detailing, plus 14:1 gearing, precisely meshed helical gears for quiet, smooth operation a five-pole skew-wound can motor, Proto MAX™ metal knuckle couplers, correct sideframes and many additional features.
