Walthers announces the arrival of the new Cornerstone® Tank, Pipes, Loading & Unloading Racks. This HO Scale kit is the final structure in the North American Ethanol series, giving modelers everything they need to simulate an entire ethanol plant, an industry that relies heavily on rail service.
Fast Facts: The production of ethanol, a type of alcohol used in motor fuel blends, is big business. Its use in gasoline blends reduces gas emissions and lessens dependence on foreign oil. The loading and unloading area at an ethanol plant is essential to operations - it's where the ethanol is loaded into tank cars and trucks. Inbound gasoline for denaturing ethanol is unloaded from either tank cars or trucks at the racks.
Features: The Tank, Pipes, Loading & Unloading Racks kit features a large storage tank complete with a caged ladder, a retention berm and berm walkovers. The kit is complete with two pump houses (one for each loading rack), a tank car loading rack with stairway, a truck loading platform and plenty of piping with valves and support tees.
