Walthers is rolling out new Pullman-Standard 4-4-2 Sleepers in HO Scale. Available for the first time with factory-installed grab irons, these ready-to-run models are the latest in a series based on Pullman-Standard designs.
Fast Facts: Few sleepers can boast the level of luxury that made these cars a favorite among first class travelers. The star of New York Central's 20th Century Limited from 1948 to 1967, Pullman-Standard 4-4-2 sleepers had four large bedrooms, four compartments and two drawing rooms. By the 1950s, the NYC started selling off surplus equipment to other lines and many of these streamlined cars went on to new owners.
Features: Now arriving with factory-installed grab irons, Pullman-Standard 4-4-2 Sleepers are superbly detailed inside and out. Based on Plan #4069B originally built for NYC and PRR, these cars feature appropriate roof, side details and authentic paint and lettering along with Proto MAX™ metal knuckle couplers.
