In addition to it's well-known steam locos, the United States Railroad Administration (USRA) developed several standardized freight car plans to ease critical car shortages during WWI. Hoppers such as this did yeoman service during the war and for decades after, moving coal, stone and other bulk materials. This detailed plastic kit is designed for easy construction, with separate brake gear, trucks and couplers. Bodies are factory painted and lettered for a variety of roadnames.
