Introduced in the 1930s, the 55-Ton Fishbelly Hopper car was a common sight and formed the backbone of some of the great coal hauling railroads. This version captures the nostalgia and heritage of the unique model in true 1/4" scale. A new addition to the Steam Era Classic series, this new hopper will look right at home behind your heavy-hauling steam or first and second generation diesel locos.
 
Features include diecast construction; flat or peaked ends as per the prototype; separately-applied grab irons, ladders and brakeline details; 50-ton Bettendorf diecast sprung trucks; removable coal load; interior details; and diecast articulated couplers (3-rail) or Kadee(R)-compatible scale couplers (2-rail). Minimum diameter curve: O-27 (3-rail). Four roadnumbers are available per roadname.
