Second only to the Super Chief in importance, Santa Fe's El Capitan offered equally fast travel at more affordable fares. Refitted in 1956 with new Hi-Level cars to provide maximum seating, the unique train was later combined with the Super Chief in 1958 during off-peak travel seasons. Modeling this amazing streamliner is easy with these sets that feature:

* Tail-end coach has illuminated marker lights & light-up "El Capitan" Conquistador Drumhead
 
* Each car is equipped with low flange wheels, KATO magnetic knuckle couplers & shock absorber construction for smooth & reliable operation
 
* Colored interior piece to more closely match the prototypes
 
* Can be paired up with the Santa Fe Super Chief (#381-106076 sold separately) to replicate post-1958 combination trains
 
* Interior can be lighted with #381-11209 or 210 Interior Light Kit with White LED (Light Kit with White LED is DCC friendly)
