Models of GN Empire Builder Cars that Migrated to Amtrak Service
When Amtrak took over the nation's passenger trains, it also acquired many
cars from its member railroads. These cars were repainted into Amtrak's
first paint scheme and ran systemwide. These Walthers HO streamlined cars
are models of former GN Empire Builder cars repainted into Amtrak colors.
Each has all the features you need for detail and performance such as
appropriate trucks with metal wheelsets, interiors, working diaphragms, car
name and number decals and built-in provisions for drop-in installation of
Walthers DC or DCC interior lighting kits (sold separately).
