In close cooperation with DaimlerChrysler and Marklin, Herpa releases a unique collector's train set for the 2003 Christmas season, based on the prototypes that haul the new Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren super sports car from England to Europe by rail. The set includes a Marklin Class 182 electric loco in the "Silver Arrow" scheme with full-color automobile graphics and the familiar Mercedes star logo. The train features six double-deck auto carriers, each loaded with eight of the latest SLR McLaren autos (which join the regular Herpa collection in April, 2004). Production of this Herpa exclusive will be limited to 1000 sets, which will come in a unique Marklin package.
