During 1986, the state of Georgia leased loco number 750, a sparkling, high-wheeled 4-6-0 Pacific type from the Atlanta Chapter of the Railroad Historical Society. Originally built for the Florida East Coast Railroad, this loco was eventually sold to the Savannah and Atlanta railroad where it remained in service until retired. The Atlanta chapter of the NRHS obtained it in the 60s and refurbished it for runs by the state of Georgia. The 50s train makes its way around an 18 mile loop 4 times a day each day it runs. Speeds up to 60 MPH are attained. Includes scenes with a beautifully restored E-8 painted in the colors of the New Georgia Railroad. Approx. 28 minutes.
