From the early 1950s to 1959 over 1,000 of these AAR class bunkerless refrigerator cars were produced. With fewer seams than a standard boxcar, they were expected to be more resistant to rust and leakage.
 
Model features include an 8' plug with separate latch bars, overhanging diagonal roofs, accurate postwar ends, Accumate(R) couplers and accurate paint and lettering.
