This series of smaller laser-cut wood kits features comprehensive instructions with actual-size elevation and floor plan drawings, complimented by step-by-step text, tips and techniques, and assembly photos. Kits use micro-plywood for its superior durability and resistance to warping. A system of tabs and slots reduces errors in construction and produces a sturdier model. Self-stick adhesive is applied to allow for quick and easy installation of windows, doors, glazing and trim pieces. For more realism, kits features laser-etched siding grooves, individual planking, nail holes and low-relief carving details as appropriate; laser-etched lines are also provided as a guide to position overlaid architectural details.
Typical of towers found along many railroads, this kit is based on a Delaware, Lackawanna & Western prototype and also includes a "concrete" mechanical relay building. Built in 1908 and still standing today, a local group is restoring the building and The N Scale Architect will donate $5.00 from the sale of every kit.
