Add classic commuter service to city scenes with these assembled replicas of the President's Committee Car (PCC). Used in many cities, the models are based on the pre-war design without the small "Standee" windows above the main windows. The models are detailed to match Los Angeles car #3001 (built in May 1937), currently preserved and in operation at the Orange Empire Railway Museum near Los Angles.
This series is designed for do-it-yourselers and comes painted in a variety of prototype colors, but with wth no lettering. Decals with city transit logos and numbers matching the decorated Series (223-93001 - 93012) as well as different destination boards are included, making it easy to expand your fleet.
Features include:
* DCC-Ready with NMRA 8 pin plug
* Space for Speaker
* All-wheel drive
* Powerful 5-pole motor
* Interior w/working lights
* Working head & taillights
* Authentic paint schemes
* Decals for logos, number & destination boards
* Runs on tight 9" radius
* Motorman figure
* "Next Car Light" as Appropriate - Some (but not all) cities had an extra red light on the front of PCC cars - when turned on, it alerted waiting passengers that the car was either full or out of service and would not stop. NOTE: Operation of this feature requires installation of a DCC decoder (not included) and the lamp can be turned on or off using the P-3 function control.
