Between 1905 and 1929, these hoppers hauled iron ore for the Cranberry Iron & Coal Company's mine in Cranberry, North Carolina, to the furnace in Johnson City, Tennessee, via the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad. They were later used to carry stone for highway construction projects after the mine closed in 1929. The hopper features vacuum cast polyurethane inner and outer side walls, underframe, hopper bays and end supports. Stirrup steps, grab irons and K-brakes are from Tichy, and Truck are Grandt Line.
