The Comet is a fully operational HO Scale model of a wooden roller coaster.
Designed for continuous operation as an accessory on a layout or as an
intriguing novelty item, the Comet is the most realistic working roller
coaster model on the market. It is sure to be one of the most talked about
additions to your collection. Young and old alike will marvel at the
exciting operation of an actual miniature coaster.
Modeled after the timeless and classic lines of a real wood coaster, this
kit was designed by actual roller coaster engineers to a level of detail
that must be seen to appreciate. After climbing the lift hill, the
three-car train traverses the realistic course via gravity, just like its
full-sized counterpart. The pre-colored plastic structure was designed with
ease of assembly in mind. Most parts snap together, however some gluing is
involved. The trains roll on precision brass wheels for consistent
operation. The compact footprint of the Comet (12" x 27") makes it an
unobtrusive yet attention-grabbing addition to any layout. The electric
lift motor operates on the 12V accessory outlet on your transformer.
Additional items available in the future include optional working brakes for
two-train operation, neon Comet sign, lighting kit and sound module.
