The 4,000-horsepower SD70MAC can be found heading up heavy freights from coast to coast. Burlington Northern bought many of these and assigned them to heavy coal trains in Wyoming. Found all over the middle of the U.S., they also run through to eastern power plants over connecting railroads, so they'll also look at home on eastern-themed layouts. Like all Kato locomotives, they feature highly detailed bodies, great painting and lettering, smooth-running mechanisms and knuckle couplers. This model wears the classy green-and-cream "Executive Scheme."
