The railroads serving the Port of New York relied on fleets of ferries, tugboats and barges to deliver freight. This volume continues our presentation of the "railroad navy" of NY harbor with special attention given to float bridge operations, coal dumpers, floating grain elevators, Seatrain and the waterfront terminals of both truck line and short line railroads at the port.
