These semi-light cars were a familiar sight on the 1960s-era Santa Fe
trains handling mail, express and baggage. Many were later converted to
work-train service and a few were sold to Amtrak(R) and Auto-Train.
A quick and easy way to build an all-new train or upgrade your existing
Rivarossi streamliners, this authentic car combines the ease of
ready-to-run equipment with the detail of brass at a price that wont break
your budget.
Features include all-new tooling--first time in plastic; working
diaphragms; totally new trucks with RP-25 metal wheels; body-mounted,
swinging knuckle couplers; full underbody detail; and wire grab irons and
handrails for easy installation. This limited-run model is painted and
lettered to match Walthers Budd cars.
