One of the most useful pieces of equipment in railroad maintenance, the
Jordan Spreader can be found along the road in several different situations
including cleaning up after rock slides and spreading ballast, but cutting
drainage ditches is where it is found most often. Here it is followed by a
crane that lifts the excess dirt and debris into waiting cars.
This scene can easily be modeled with the Walthers 25 Ton Crane (932-5500),
followed by several Walthers Difco Dump Cars (932-5950). Another common
situation involves the Jordan plowing snow to the side of the right-of-way
after the Russell Snow Plow has cleared the line.
