These versatile cars are now in service with Amtrak and several regional commuter operations. The current version is a modification of a 1960s design, customized to meet the needs of the users. For commuter operations, a cab car for push-pull service was built. Amtrak's purchase (over 100 cars between 1988 and 1990) included both coach and food service versions. Features of Walthers models include: ready to run, authentic paint scheme, decals for car markings and numbers, correct trucks, tinted window "glass", complete underbody, and swinging coupler pockets. (Horn-hook coupler s included, pockets accept Kadee(R) #5s.)
 
PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24" radius is recommended for operation.
