Businesses like McGraw Oil Company sold heating oil, diesel fuel and gasoline to consumers and dealers. Each had several storage tanks, a rack and piping for unloading tank cars and pumphouses for loading local delivery trucks. This Cornerstone Series kit is patterned after a typical trackside business and includes two different pumphouses with truck loading booms, four vertical tanks and a retention berm, tank car unloading rack and decals with a variety of business names. These dealerships could be found in small towns and larger cities from the 1930s on, so this kit will look great on your steam- or diesel-era layout.
