Inside this busy operation, rough-cut timbers are run through planners and
emerge as standard sized lumber. Found alongside saw mills like the
Mountain Lumber Co. (933-3058) and industries like Hardwood Furniture
(933-3044), both sold separately, Planning Mills are also operated as
independent companies. The finished model makes a neat addition to any
setting and fits in virtually any modeling era. The kit includes the
two-story Main Building with board and batten siding, a modern Sawdust
Collector with blower and storage bin, plus an outdoor Drying & Storage
Shed where the finished products are allowed to air dry before being loaded
for shipment by rail or truck. Finished building measures: Main Building: 6
x 8 x 5-3/4" 15 x 20 x 14.3cm, Dust Collector: 2 x 2 x 6" 5 x 5 x 15cm,
Drying Shed: 9-3/4 x 6 x 4" 24.3 x 15 x 10cm.
