If you run a business that receives bulk materials in open-top hoppers,
chances are you have a Bulk Transfer Conveyor. These unloading facilities
provide a dumping pit below track level. A conveyor brings materials up to
the surface where a movable, rubber-tired conveyor routes it into the
appropriate stockpile.
Use the new Bulk Transfer Conveyor at ready mix plants, hot mix plants,
foundries, small power plants, aggregate distributors, fertilizer dealers
and other businesses which receive bulk materials in open hopper cars.
You'll even find them in use along modern team tracks. This easy-to-build
kit includes everything you need to add a hopper car unloading point to
your pike. The kit base includes an under-track pit with stairway, a pit
conveyor, a wheeled rotary sorter conveyor, conveyor drive motor details,
track grating, a corrugated metal office building and realistic decals.
