National Steel Car 53' Single-Unit Well Cars are among the largest platforms on the rails. Railroads use singe-unit cars when there arent enough containers to fill a three-unit, drawbar-connected well car. In some markets, a smaller car is a better choice for shippers, so TTX now operates stand-alone cars derived from the original three-unit cars.
 
Walthers HO Scale 53' Stand-Alone Well Car is based on this latest design. Fully assembled and ready for service, its diecast body provides plenty of weight for good performance. Factory-applied plastic details and working knuckle couplers at each end complete these realistic replicas.
