A common variation of the Pullman-Standard 60' auto parts box cars was the installation of two eight foot wide doors. This large opening allowed plenty of clearance to move in or out with a forklift. Like the single door car, they were used to carry heavy components such as engine blocks, transmissions or brake drums in special baskets. You'll still find them in this specialized service across America today.
