The Hornby Rivarossi HO Scale Class A3 4-6-2 is a replica of the striking apple green liveried class A3 "Flying Scotsman" steam locomotive that toured the United States and Canada between 1969 and 1973, and Australia in 1988 and 1989. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. tour, this limited-run model of the famous London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) 1923-built Class A3 steam locomotive features the colorful scheme complete with twin tenders hauled by the prototype on its U.S. tour. This HO Scale model captures the detailing of the prototype and includes the twin tenders used on tour. This Class A3 4-6-2 features a DCC-ready mechanism, smooth-running five-pole skew-wound motor and NEM European-style hook-and-loop couplers.
