One of the most recognizable and famous UP Steam Locomotives, the FEF-3 (Four-Eight-Four) is recreated in this detailed Kato N Scale model. Features include a coreless motor with dual flywheels for silky-smooth side-rod operation at any speed (even a slow crawl), inside bearing wheels (where appropriate), and a special articulated undercarriage on the unique, 14-wheel Tender to allow the locomotive to navigate 11" 282mm radius curves. The FEF-3 has a factory-installed DCC decoder for use on DCC layouts. This Union Pacific FEF-3 4-8-4 is one of many Kato N Scale locomotives.
