Built in the early 1960s, ALCO Century locomotives could be found in service on many railroads across the country. Some are still running on shortlines today. These units feature a realistic die-cast mainframe, directional lighting, painted handrails, separately applied marker lenses and separately applied wire grab irons, ladders and drop steps. They come equipped with factory-installed AccuMate(R) knuckle couplers and a five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds.
