Introduced in 1963, the 2500-horsepower GP35 was one of the last locomotives to feature EMDs 567 engine. The locomotives were used in mainline freight service by railroads across the continent, and, following remanufacturing, many are still in service today. Available in both low and high-nose versions, locomotives also come equipped with Blomberg or AAR Type B trucks as appropriate for each roadname. Other features include two flywheel-equipped motors, directional headlights and markers; correct details for each roadname and more. Powered locos come equipped to run on three-rail track and feature Lionel TrainMaster Command Control (TMCC) with RailSounds. Three-rail versions will operate on O-36 curves.
