The GE U50 was a double-engined version of the builder's popular U25B road unit. Designed for UP which, at the time, wanted the largest road units possible, these units featured a distinctive flat-nosed cab at the front of the frame, and rode on two AAR type B trucks on a span bolster. The Con-Cor model features a powerful five-pole motor and standard N Scale couplers.
