Recreate the exciting rail service and action that surrounds America's auto industry with this series of HO Scale structure kits. Every phase of the operation is here, from the front office where decisions are made, to the Distribution Facility where new cars or trucks are loaded for their first long trip by train.
Handsomely detailed and designed for easy construction, each kit features plastic parts molded in colors, complete instructions and through a special licensing agreement, authentic Ford logo decals! (Of course, you can model your favorite brand with these kits which are typical of buildings used by all major automakers.)

Your new car or truck took its first long trip by train, and was loaded at a facility much like this. Once assembly and inspection are complete, vehicles are driven to these large lots for staging. Here, they'll be ramped aboard waiting auto racks for the trip to far-away dealers. On arrival, they're unloaded at an almost identical facility, which may serve one or two large markets. For the final trip to the showroom, cars or trucks are reloaded aboard special carrier semis.
Like the actual facilities, security is important. The kit includes easy-to-assemble Chain Link Fencing, a Guard Shack (measures 1-5/16 x 1 x 1-1/8" 4 x 2.5 x 2.8cm), a corrugated metal Office (measures 4 x 3 x 1-5/8" 10 x 7.5 x 4.2cm) to keep track of all the incoming and outbound new vehicles, two Unloading Ramps, two Auto Carrier Semi Trailers and a set of colorful sign decals.
For modern scenes, autos can arrive aboard the Enclosed Tri-Level Auto Racks (932-4850 series single cars, 932-24851 series 2-Packs) and trucks can come in on the Enclosed Bi-Level Auto Racks (932-4800 series single cars), all sold separately. In the 1960s, you can set the scene with the limited-run Open Bi-Level (112-9260 series) or Open Tri-Level (112-9360 series) Auto racks by Accurail(R).
