The InterMountain Railway Co. HO Scale Drop-Bottom Sugar Beet Gondola is based on the extended-side gondolas used for hauling sugar beets from growing areas to sugar refineries on the west coast. The cars were constructed in the steam era and operated into the 1990s, mostly on Southern Pacific. The cars were a mix of steel cars and composite cars, all with wooden extensions. This ready-to-run model features a detailed injection-molded body with applied plastic and metal details; fine decoration, appropriate trucks with InterMountain 33" metal wheelsets and magnetic knuckle couplers.
