For EMD/GMDD second generation locos. Gives an accurate wheelbase, scale width and coupler area detail. The system is designed to work with other locomotive building systems to offer a completely new and accurate model from the rails up. The walkway / frame modules allow you to choose detail components of your choice to match any specific locomotive class. Includes; walkway/frame, photo-etched side sills and bolster / jack pad mounts, coupler pocket cover, truck bolster insert, integral weights, and walkway duct. Constructed of high quality injection molded polystyrene, ABS plastic and photo-etch metal. Use with Next-Gen Steps, Treadplate and Pilots, each sold separately.
 
The walkway / frames are differentiated by the side sills. The side sill is referenced by the location of the rear notches, step well used or other features. Here is a quick guide: Example = GP C4:E4/5 GP = Locomotive Type ("General Purpose" Series)
 
C4 = Conductor's side notch terminates under the 4th stanchion from the rear plate.
 
E4/5 = Engineer's side notch terminates between the 4th and 5th stanchions from the rear plate.
