Now it's easy to bend photo-etched details quickly and accurately using the Etch Mate. Measuring just 6.5" x 3.5" (16.2 x 8.7cm), this state-of-the-art bending tool is CAD designed and CNC produced to the finest aerospace specs.
Both the folding head and base are matched sets. Each Folding head is put through a hand-leveling process that allows the folding head to sit flat against the fixture base resulting in superior clamping strength. With the hand-leveling process, the tool head requires less force when tightening the photo-etch into the Etch Mate.
The unit also includes a fine triangular folding channel, which produces accurate square bends. The folding channel also acts as an alignment guide, which will assure you that your photo etch is properly aligned with the folding fingers before bending your valuable photo etch.
Five guide pins eliminate any play between the tool head and base, yet assure trouble-free movement of the tool head.
The front side of the tool head is duplicated on the backside in the form of a straight edge. This feature allows you to remove the tool head, flip it around and bend larger pieces such as fenders, railings, side skirts and much more.
Using chemical etching, media blast and a final khaki drab anodizing process, the tool has a tough non-reflective work surface that allows you to spend more time working with greater visibility between the work surface and any type of photo etch.
