The prototype for this detailed Atlas HO Scale Master Gold FM H24-66 Phase 1A Trainmaster was advertised by Fairbanks-Morse as "the most useful locomotive ever built." Introduced in 1953 as a versatile locomotive with various equipment options available, it was found in both passenger and freight service across the US. It was the most powerful single-engine locomotive in production at the time, generating a total of 2,400hp. This detailed model features accurate decoration and roadname-appropriate detailing. It also features a five-pole, skew-wound motor with dual flywheels, directional LED lighting, Accumate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers, accurate decoration and other roadname-appropriate body details.
