Expand mining or steel mill operations in minutes with these models! With the shift from raw ore to taconite production, railroads found the marble-size pellets were lighter and more could be carried in a car. Older ore jennies were rebuilt with short side and end extensions to increase their carrying capacity and some roads combined four cars into one, by connecting the intermediate cars with drawbars.
 
Sporting authentic paint jobs and extensions, these models fill an important gap in HO freight car fleets. These cars come in 12-packs, each with different car numbers that make it easy to model longer trains. Each 12 pack includes one pair of working knuckle couplers (optional horn-hooks are also provided) for the end cars; intermediate cars can be connected with dummy couplers (included). They'll look great in service at the Cornerstone Series(R) Ore Dock (933-3065) or Blast Furnace (933-3054), available separately.
