The Kato N Scale ready-to-run Gunderson MAXI-I 5-Unit Well Car is a multi-unit well car designed to carry two stacked intermodal shipping containers. While its base well is 40', it can accept larger containers such as 45', 48' and even 53' in the top position, making the car a versatile addition to a railroad's intermodal services. The MAXI-I car with its five shorter platforms has a greater capacity even though the individual wells are a smaller size. The cars feature detailed bodies, authentic decoration, appropriate trucks with metal wheels and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers. Each MAXI-I 5-Unit Well Car platform includes a pair of 53' containers (10 per 5-unit set) with internal magnets for stability while the car s running on your layout.

• Heavier material steel compound plastic provides stable operation with or without container loads
• 10 removable 40' Containers with magnet and metal plate to hold it securely to the well car or the top of the lower Kato container
• Shock absorber construction for smooth and stable operation loaded or unloaded.
• Kato kinematic trucks maintain prototypical appearance on straight track while delivering smooth operation on curved track
• Packaging is designed for separated storage of the articulated unit, providing ease and security when not in use
