To reduce costs, many railroads designed standard station buildings. The basic structure could easily be modified as needed to meet local needs but common elements (such as doors, trim, window style, etc.) were retained to maintain a "family" appearance that instantly identified the owner. These authentic replicas of C&O stations present three variations of the same design.
