The set includes full-color lettering for three different World War Two era P51-Ds (set letters one plane) flown by some of America's leading fighter pilots, based on actual period photos; "Moonbeam McSwine" flown by Captain William Wishner of the 487th Fighter Squadron/352nd Fighter Group, "Old Crow" flown by Captain Clarence Anderson of the 363rd Fighter Squadron/357th Fighter Group and "Texas Jessie/Big Mike" (Different name on each side of the engine cowl.) flown by Lieutenant William E. Aron of the 318th Fighter Squadron/325th Fighter Group. Each scheme includes colorful "nose art" and other squadron markings, national insignia, aircraft number and more. A complete lettering diagram (with Federal Standard Color call-outs to simplify painting) is also included.
