The HO Scale Norfolk & Western Class CF Caboose from American Model Builders is based on a common N&W car. The N&W's East End Shops in Roanoke, VA built 381 wood sided, steel underframe cabooses in the CF class between 1914 and 1924. This 2023 revised kit features 100% laser-scribed and cut wood car body; a laser-cut underframe with white metal steps and wood end platforms; peel and stick wood windows and doors with glazing; laser-cut ladders, end railing, and brake wheel; white metal smokejack; cast resin brake gear; and several fixtures to aid the modeler in creating all the handholds and ladders appropriate for the prototype. As an option, the model may be built with canvas style or metal style roofing. Complete your model with separate purchase of Microscale decal set #460-87482, WalthersProto #920-2032 Andrews Caboose Trucks, and Kadee #380-5 couplers with draft gear boxes for completing this caboose.
